Cadence Boyce
18 - she/herComposer and singer from central Massachusetts. I've been composing since 2020, singing since childhood, and this year (2022), I would like to get more into sound design and general audio recording/editing.I use Logic and Musescore, and have experience with Pro Tools for studio recording.
I play electric bass, piano, and acoustic guitar as well.I use a Yamaha MG12XU and Shure SM58 for tracking, Blue Snowball for streaming, and a Zoom H1N for field recording.

A MIDI mockup of a piece for wind instruments, concert percussion, and piano. A short and simple musical depiction of a conversation, silenced by supernatural means. Read the PDF of the sheet music here: (Google Drive link)

Digital Hug
High frequency warning!!"Digital Hug" is an improvisation for voice and electronics. While performing with the wearable electronics, I aimed to create a character with my movement who is friendly but very strange and disconnected through no fault of her own. It's the fault of all the computers strapped to her that all communication must go between. A terminally online mime. See the Youtube description for more details.

Imagined Strife
Voice accompanied by improvised piano and percussion, harmonized, chopped up, and increasingly processed throughout the 6 1/2 minute duration both digitally and through improvisation on an analog mixer with a digital effects panel. "Imagined Strife" is a raw walk through procrastination as I introduce different ideas with increased urgency as time passes, before the anxiety comes to a head and I throw together something semi-polished at the very end.If your senses are bothered by abrupt, violent changes in frequency, volume, or stereo panning; please skip this song and enjoy my other works instead.

Vocal improvisation over a calm MIDI piano loop, processed and manipulated live with an analog mixer.

I generally cannot take rush orders, as I am a college student.If you want me to do something radically different than what is on my portfolio (e.g., singing other people's songs, audio editing, mixing), want to bring me onto the creative team of a longer term project, or if we are equal creatives collaborating on a hobby project, these rates do not apply.
